At 10:50 a.m. on June 30, the Shenzhen-Zhongshan Link was officially opened. The 24-km-long cross-sea link began trial operation at 3 p.m. on the same day. It further promotes the integrated development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA).
The Wanqingsha branch line of the Nansha-Zhongshan Expressway has been fully connected and traffic is scheduled to start before the end of the year, linking Guangzhou's Nansha district to the Shenzhen-Zhongshan Link.
It will take less than 20 minutes for vehicles to travel from Nansha Port to Shenzhen Bao'an International Airport via the Shenzhen-Zhongshan Link, and less than 15 minutes to Zhongshan city, the hometown of Sun Yat-sen, via the Nansha-Zhongshan Expressway.
With the improved transportation infrastructure, the Zhujiang Subdistrict in Guangzhou's Nansha District is becoming a treasure trove for industrial projects.
